What is unique about you?
I specialize in working with Gen Y. It's what I'm passionate about and it's what I do best. I feel that my mission in life is to bring financial planning to Gen Y to empower my generation. I'm an actor turned financial planner turned entrepreneur so I tend to look at things a little differently than most planners. I do my best to make complex financial concepts easy to understand and my clients appreciate that.
How do you work with clients?
I'm based in Minneapolis but I can work with clients across the country. Most of my client meetings are held via skype. All of my clients engage in my comprehensive financial planning services and some choose to invest assets as well. I charge less than 1% to manage assets and I do not have any minimums on investments. I do not engage in asset management alone because I believe that it's important to go through the entire financial planning process with each client. I try to keep our conversations fun and upbeat even though we are talking about serious situations. I like to say, "I'm not your father's financial planner." My clients tell me they feel like they're talking to their "financially savvy best friend" and that's the way I like it :)
What type of client does the firm serve best?
My clients are all in their 20s or 30s and their income is usually between $60,000 - $200,000 per year. They are generally good savers who are looking to maximize their current financial situation. I attract a lot of entrepreneurs, young couples, and business women (because I'm all of those things).
